From Conroe to Galveston, dozens of local companies recently hosted their annual Thanksgiving office potluck holiday feast – where friendly competition for offering up the best dish guarantees a plethora of options that would rival anything served up on a cooking channel.
At Bernstein Realty, the annual eat-a-thon extends well into the afternoon. Samantha Bacon, marketing director, said the tradition grew to fill the day “with everyone enjoying their time together, catching up and exchanging recipes long after everyone has eaten their fill.”
At Bernstein and elsewhere there is little time to reflect on the mega menu – as the annual deluge of food gifts and sweet specialties flood break rooms and kitchens. Fortunately, as well all know, calories consumed in the holiday spirit don’t count
