Realtor of the Week: Perlman is invested in her real estate career

For Laura H. Perlman, a Realtor with Bernstein Realty, real estate is all encompassing. It incorporates the creative and the analytical, and it should be considered a living investment.

“Real estate is something that affects us physically, emotionally and financially daily. I take the responsibility of being a Realtor seriously, considering all aspects related to the process and I do it with pride,” Perlman said.

Perlman is a third-generation Houstonian, and her family has been in the real estate business since the early 20th century. She followed in her family’s footsteps.

“I don’t believe I chose this career. It is simply in my blood,” Perlman said. However, she has also worked in fundraising and finance and spent many years volunteering. Perlman enjoys considering the past and the future of real estate since her family became involved over 100 years ago.

“I believe change is good, but also believe that some homes need to be preserved and appreciated. While change is inevitable, it has the potential to assist us to live a more resourceful and sustainable life,” Perlman said.

Older homes, the gems of the past, have the ability to teach great things too, from appreciating a quieter, less technical environment, to gaining knowledge of how the world around you is impacted.

“Housing in Houston has a lot to teach those who listen,” Perlman said.

Perlman’s focus area is the Houston area – Katy, Kingwood, Pearland, Sugar Land, Bellaire, West University, River Oaks Area and the Heights – but most of her work centers around her Memorial office and her home in Braes Heights.

A monthly top producer for Bernstein Realty many times over the years, she was recognized for her production, teamwork and leadership and received Bernstein’s Shining Star Award, another milestone showcasing her passion for real estate. She is also a Certified Negotiation Expert.

Perlman is known for listening closely to her clients, being dedicated to providing personal service, going beyond expectations, totally committed to her clients, excellence in communication, being organized and efficient, and working smarter and harder.

“I am honored to represent buyers and sellers, whether it be for an older home or new construction and cherish my role as a Realtor,” she said.
