Wendy Bernstein, a native Texan, has spent over 45 years calling Houston home.  Wendy graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BA in Marketing. She began her real estate career in the 80’s, but decided to step back from the real estate business to devote her time to her husband, Andy, and raising their 3 children while volunteering in the community.  In recent years, Wendy has enjoyed re-entering the residential real estate business as a sales associate with Bernstein Realty. Wendy uses her vast knowledge of the city and her first-hand perspective of living in Houston from childhood to adulthood to assist her clients find the right home for them and/or selling their existing home. Wendy’s attentive, caring nature allows her to understand what is important to family, friends, and clients.

In addition to her active real estate career, Wendy enjoys spending time volunteering. She has actively been involved with The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, The Emery/Weiner School, The John P. and Katherine G. McGovern Medical School and UTHealth.  In 2016, Wendy was awarded an honorary medal from UTHealth for chairing the McGovern Medical School Advisory Committee from 2014-2016.  Wendy  has volunteered at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, with a focus on children, for over 30 years. In February 2018, she was named an honoree at their annual Children’s Scholarship Ball.

Wendy’s breast cancer diagnosis in December of 2017 put new wind in her sails. Gaining strength from her family, friends and the community, Wendy always kept a positive attitude towards her battle.  She experienced first-hand the emotional and physical pain cancer causes, and is committed to raising awareness and getting involved with efforts towards the research and advancements of cancer treatments with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for breast cancer and all cancers. In October 2018, Wendy was awarded The Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation Spirit of Courage Award for her active role in the community and dedication to finding a cure!
